Pasifika Times
Mission Statement
At Pasifika Times, our mission is to advance understanding of the Pacific Islands through accessible, evidence-based research, policy analysis, and data-driven storytelling. We are dedicated to highlighting the challenges, opportunities, and perspectives that shape the region, while providing a platform for informed discussion on issues that are often overlooked in global media and academic discourse.
Through policy briefs, research articles, and interactive data visualizations, we seek to bridge the gap between academic research and public understanding. Our work focuses on critical issues including climate change, climate migration, labour mobility, economic development, food security, governance, and regional geopolitics.
We believe that Pacific Island nations play an increasingly important role in global affairs and deserve greater visibility in policy discussions. By promoting informed analysis and regional awareness, Pasifika Times aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the Pacific and support conversations that help shape a more resilient and sustainable future for the region.
